2. Not a 100% done deal, but version 7 final may be a char_geable (as yet undecided amount) upgrade for existing users. However, should I go down this path I can confirm it will definitely still be a free upgrade for anyone that recently registered at the new $25 asking price (Introduced around 1st December, 2006). Users that have also made past donations (in addition to paying for a GSAK registration) will also be exempt from the upgrade fee.

Dat klopt maar er zijn nieuwe macro's die minimaal 7 nodig hebben om te draaien en daar kun je weer leuke dingen mee doen. Voorbeeld.

- met 'Grab coordinates' kun je GSAK deze child waypoints zelf laten genereren a.d.h.v. in de tekst opgenomen coördinaten.

- als je even wilt kijken waar een waypoint in Ozi of Mapsource ligt, kun je dat waypoint naar het betreffende icoontje slepen. Ozi c.q. Mapsource opent zonder tussendialogen. Scheelt heel wat handelingen t.o.v. de vorige versie.

- je kunt in GSAK direct een projectie uitvoeren en het resultaat evt. toe laten voegen als (child) waypoint

- er is een nieuwe kolom "Degrees" toegevoegd waarop je ook kunt filteren. Daarmee heb je de mogelijkheid om bijvoorbeeld alle caches in een bepaalde 'taartpunt' vanaf een locatie te selecteren. Evt te combineren met maximum afstand. Voorbeeld: "Geef me alle caches binnen een afstand van 25 km tussen de 60 en 120 graden vanaf mijn woonplaats".

- Het werkt allemaal wat sneller.

- Diverse nieuwe macro functies.

- enzovoort, enzovoort.

 

Al werkend met GSAK loop je vanzelf tegen allerlei verbeteringen aan. De helpfile (wel in het Engels) is prima.

 

Of je dit allemaal $15,- waard vindt moet je uiteraard zelf bepalen. Ik vind het een koopje.

€11,88 om precies te zijn....... voor upgradeders dan he....

@De Roode Loper: Je kan de beide versies naast elkaar laten lopen. Je moet bij de installatie van v7 wel meegeven dat het niet in de standaard installatie folder (GSAK)moet gezet worden, maar wel in bijvoorbeeld GSAKv7.

 

Een tweede ding wat je moet doen is manueel een shortcut maken op je desktop naar de gewenste versie(s).

 

Het is ook zo dat versie 7 altijd een niet-geregistreerde versie is. Je kan dan gewoon upgraden naar de nieuwe versie via de gsak.net website. Of als je geluk hebt (zoals ik) en je hebt je pas na 1 december 2006 geregistreerd dan krijg je gratis een registratie sleutel voor versie 7 van Clyde. De precies details omtrent de prijzen vind je op de website.

Ik mag voor 15 dollar de nieuwe versie 7 gebruiken, heb ik begrepen, omdat ik al jaren geregistreerd ben.

 

Het lukt me echter niet om die 15 dollar te betalen.

Heeft iemand dat in al eens gedaan?

Vertel dan even hoe ik dat moet doen.

 

Het scherm dat ik krijg via de GSAK.net site, leidt mij naar pay-pall en daar staat 25 dollar voorbedrukt en dat is niet te veranderen.

dat komt vast goed. na mijn betaling van 15 dollar (11,5 euro of zo) werd niet automatisch goed verwerkt. één mailtje later en het was in orde. de support die die vogel geeft kan men een puntje aan zuigen!

 

en hij mailt je rustig om een uur of 5 's ochtends al terug. (zijn tijd dan hè, in Perth Australie is het 7 uur later of zo dan hier)
