Ja, ik denk dat het wel leuk kan uitwerken. Als kanttekening zou ik zeggen dat een afwijking van minder dan 50 meter niet als wijziging moet worden gezien. Bedenk dat de 'ingang' relatief is bij een natuurkampeerterrein, vooral die van SBB. Voorbeelden: De camping in Groesbeek is een veldje in de bossen, echter de pinautomaat! en de douce zitten in de schuur van SBB 250 meter terug. En Landgoed Meindersveen in Borger 245393 551024 is de ingang vanaf de N857. Het is dan nog 1.5 kilometer over bewegwijzerde bospaden naar de werkelijke camping. Vanaf het Pieterpad (wat over het landgoed loopt) staan bordjes naar de camping. Wat neem je dan? (Met in het achterhoofd dat je vanaf de ingang toch niet in een rechte lijn naar de camping mag ivm prive delen van het landgoed) Een echte fout is de camping in Schoonlo: boekje 243398 547116 maar volgens een mailtje van de beheerder z'n 800m zuidelijker op 243572 546360 (wie gaat er even heen om te checken waar de ingang werkelijk is ) Wat ik dus wil aangeven is dat je GPS je niet altijd exact tot op de meter kan brengen maar dat het dan in ieder geval wel duidelijk is waar je naar toe moet vanaf de 'ingang' coordinaten. Als laatste lijkt het mij handig dat dit 'project' wel moet worden afgerond voordat ze het nieuwe boekje gaan drukken

Ze zijn ontworpen zonder de mogelijkheid voor een externe antenne. Ze werken ook op maar 8 kanalen waar je geen vergunning voor nodig hebt. Bovendien zitten de frequentiesprongen op een afstand die gewone scanners niet kunnen volgen. CC40 is hier niet de meest handige methode voor. Ik heb het gebruikt omdat het heeeel nauwkeurig is. Voor normale geocache coordinaten gebruik ik het niet.

Je kan eens kijken bij welke spanning je GPS uitschakeld bij verschillende typen accu's/batterijen. Wacht even een paar minuten nadat je GPS is uitgegaan door lage spanning zodat ze even 'op adem' kunnen komen. Hou daarna je clickstick (enter) knop ingedrukt en zet hem aan. Je ziet dan dit:

Na alle slechte berichten over de 'verbeterde' WAAS functie heb ik toch v3.40 geladen in mijn Vista. Inderdaad werkt dat niet lekker. Het probleem ontstond echter toen ik weer terug ging naar v3.20. Bij het zogenaamde downgrading verlies je al je instellingen en data, iets dat bij het het upgraden niet gebeurd

OK, wie gaat er nog meer voor een nieuwe . . . Blijkbaar hebben de dealers ook zo hun instructie's (alhoewel, bij Correct Rotterdam snappen ze soms niet dat die lastige mensen die ze storen tegenwoordig "klanten" worden genoemd ) Maar laten we daar maar niet verder over schrijven.

Volgens mij heb ik iets gemist. Ik heb vandaag de MapSource software geupdate naar 5.0 English die al meer dan een maand uit is. Ik bedoel NIET het kaartmateriaal maar de software zelf. Het is een hele verbetering: standaard NL Grid aanwezig met automatische selectie van juiste datum alle functie's die eerst alleen konden met de GPS (zoals het raadplegen van de POI) volledige routeplanner met tekst (dit is de eerste routeplanner die mij niet via het fietspad de wijk uit stuurd !) etc. etc. zie onderstaande lijst Overigens kunnen alle GPS-en die via de COM-poort worden aangesloten de tracking functie gebruiken. Als er niet wordt gereageerd op Garmin protocol gaat hij het proberen met NMEA protocol (alleen WGS84). Zo kan je mapsource op een laptop in de auto gebruiken met andere GPS merken. Ik heb nog steeds een raar gevoel over de omruilactie. De meneer van de service was bezig met een klant en hielp mij even tussendoor toen hij langs kwam lopen om wat op te halen. Er kwam gewoon een nieuwe uit een doos en ik gaf de oude. Niks geen vragen of bekijken van de klacht, laat staan controleren of het wel in Nederland gekocht is. Ik had dus ook gewoon een GPS kunnen omruilen die bijv. in de USA gekocht is . . . ? In ieder geval is deze prima

Dat is elke keer weer anders. Bij mij stond er op de aanbieding met stift gescheven 'alleen te verkrijgen bij de kassa', terwijl ze er gewoon lagen Ze werken verder prima en we nemen er allebei een mee. Gewoon om, zoals kruimeldief het noemt, niet te hoefen schreeuwen naar elkaar in de natuur en zo de rust voor andere te bewaren

Ik heb een probleem met mijn Vista. Steeds vaker zijn er 'blanco streepjes' op het scherm wat een bekende hardwarefout is met de bedrading. Ik heb dit gemeld bij de importeur sailtron@sailtron.com en kan direct morgenochtend langskomen in Houten om de GPS om te ruilen

Ik heb ze even bekeken Maar snappen doe ik het even niet. Is dit een origineel Garmin produkt, of is er een Noorse uitgever die dit uitgeeft. En is dit dan ook de reden dat Garmin zelf Noorwegen niet in de europa CD's opneemt Maar goed: De topo 1:250.000 (jaar 2001 ?) bestaat uit 235 delen, totaal 43.3 MB. Daarnaast zijn er 20 groepen (elk apart verkocht ?) van de 1:50.000 versie die ca. 600 MB bij elkaar zijn. Ik heb trouwens de indruk dat ze niet routable zijn en ook geen POI of straatnamen bevatten. Er staan hééél veel puntjes op die allemaal 'manmade' heten en de picotogrammen (zoals bus of ziekenhuis) zijn allemaal 'unknown'. De wegen heten allemaal 'road' op een enkele aanduiding als bijv. N20 na.

Er lagen nog 3 sets PMR446. Gelukkig was ik vanmiddag vrij Gelijk 3 setjes Alkaline AAA's gekocht voor EUR 2,19 per 8 st. Ik had ze eigenlijk nog iets kleiner verwacht, de afmeting (zonder antenne) en het gewicht is ongeveer gelijk aan een eTrex. Nu maar hopen dat ze dit niet te vaak in de aanbieding doen. Dan zijn die 8 (x 38) kanalen zo vol *** edit *** modificatie's tt3000: Lijkt precies op de tt3500.

Ik heb even voor je gekeken in MG5. Alleen rond Oslo zijn een aantal kaartdelen. De rest van het land staat er wel op maar is niet te laden naar je GPS. Volgens mij heb je gewoon superpech.

Bij o.a. de Legend & Vista zit nu standaard 'ownerschip' in de software die je bij opstart kan laten weergeven. Bij de Venture zit dit er volgens mij niet in. Ik denk dat ze geen ruimte meer overhadden . . . Zeker omdat deze niet is overgegaan naar 125 waypoint/route maar is blijven steken op 'slechts' 50.

Hoe ik het ook lees, in beide gevallen is het knap. Of je hebt voor meer dan EUR 1000,- bij de ALDI besteed of je hebt superaccu's gekocht. In dat tweede geval omdat ze het gelukt is de capacitiet van een penlite in een potloodformaat te proppen

Vandaag nog even naar de stad geweest (tja, 35°C). Headsetjes met 2,5 jackplug (universeel of voor motorola GSM's) zijn er van EUR 10,- tot 30,- per stuk. De vraag is dan hoe de kwaliteit/comfort is en of het knopje dan ook de PTT functie heeft en of de FOX-functie goed werkt. Oplaadbare AAA 750 mA NiMH kosten ca. EUR 25,- per 8. En dan nog een universele adapter omdat ze niet in mijn oplader passen. Ik denk dat als ik ze koop bij de LIDL ze voorlopig even 'kaal' gebruik.

Daarvoor met je de oude R&R hebben. Daar zaten de POI na installatie als aparte delen bij. Maar Gamin heeft besloten om deze niet meer uit te geven.

Kijk eens op mijn site. Maar in ieder gevel ter correctie: Alle versie's hebben exact dezelfde straten. Alleen worden dit er natuurlijk elk jaar meer. R&R is de meest kale versie en wordt niet meer uitgegeven. MG heeft ook alle huisnummers en bevat een 'gouden gids' met diverse 'interessante punten'. Nog uitgebreidere versie's zijn 'autoroutable' wat betekent dat de GPS je de weg kan wijzen. De wandelaar in de natuur heeft hier natuurlijk helemaal niets aan.
