Ozie kaarten in GPS Tuner

Is er ervaring met of iemand die weet hoe ik de kaarten in Oziexplorer op een eenvoudige manier kan converteren naar kaarten voor GPS TUNER?

Het manual zegt:

The data of the calibrated map are stored in a .gmi file, which has the same base name as the picture file. The map can be recalibrated any time. Map image file and .gmi file as to be in the same folder.

 

Creating map from desktop mapping application

1.) Start your desktop mapping application.

2.) Export map slice as JPG, GIF, PNG or BMP file

3.) Upload map image file to your Pocket PC ( via ActiveSync / IrDA / Bluetooth or copy it to a Memory Card)

4.) Start GPS Tuner

5.) Open the map image file by selecting Map/Open... command

6.) Obtain position data from mapping application and set the calibration points in GPS Tuner.

 

GPS Tuner can handle maps. The maps can be blank map or it can be any

type image file (GIF, JPG, PNG, BMP) or a special GTM ( GPS Tuner Map

format) file. Size of the loadable file depends primarily on free memory

capacity. The most suggested format is GIF with 16 colors, because this

allows using even 2000 x 2000 pixel size maps.

 

 

Aangezien Ozi meestal gewone picture files gebruikt en het format van de Ozi .map files (calibratie-files) bekend is, kan je de kaarten naar GPS Tuner overbrengen. Ik heb niet gekeken hoe die ijkfiles van dit progje in elkaar steken, maar je zou ze mogelijk zelf kunnen samenstellen met een texteditor zonder de omslachtige weg van handmatig calibreren.
