    ik heb het geprobeerd en het installeert een programmaatje dat naar wifi toegangspunten bij je in de buurt zoekt. het werkt dus niet bij mij thuis :rolleyes:

    Bovenstaande is incorrect.. oja, het download wel een klein programmatje

     

    wat het doet is heel simpel

     

    Using your Wi-Fi access point or your computer's IP address, Skyhook's Loki application will determine your current location and provide a list of nearby geocaches.

     

    Skyhook is een programma dat probeert aan de hand van je "current"netwerk een plaats te bepalen. Zie het als cellen in een GSM netwerk. Als er geen WiFi verbinding is dan neemt skyhook het IP adress van je internet provider. Letop dat is niet je 192.168.x.x of 10.10.xx adres maar het adres van je fysieke verbinding.

     

    met dat adres wordt op gc.com een zoek opdracht gestart met als resultaat geocaches in de buurt van waar je je bevindt. Mijn IP adres is van Planet en geregistreed bij Planet in Lelysatd of zo ... Ik woon in Lopik

    We zijn een nieuwe cache aan het voorbereiden. Helaas ligt het dankzij de sneeuw even stil. Ik ben hier in tilburg al een paar fotozaken langs geweest, maar nergens hebben ze kokertjes (of ze willen ze niet geven dan kan ook). Heeft er iemand in de buurt van Tilburg een stuk of 10 kokertjes over ? We zouden er heel blij mee zijn.

    Wat ik niet snap is dat je (lees iemand) niet het mail adres van je provider gebruikt, tegenwoordig krijg je er toch minstens 3 of zo? Ik krijg minder spam op het mail adres van mijn provider, dan op mijn hotmail accounts.

     

    In mijn geval, ik reisveel voor mijn werk en heb al mijn prive email op gmail, ook mijn planet en kpnmail komen hier op binnen en verstuur ik hier vanaf. Maakt het leven heel wat makkelijker. Daarnaast is het SPAMfilter van Google goed tot zeer goed. In mijn prive mail heb ik geen SPAM

    Op zich logisch, maar volgens mij heen antwoord op mijn vraag/opmerking. Iedere provider levert toch ook webmail? Die je volgens mij toch moet gebruiken, ook op reis, anders stuur je al je reply's van je gmail account en dat wil je denk ik ook niet.

     

    Gmail doet ook pop3 access :crybaby:

    hmmm nee, niet irritant... alleen wat extra werk voor serieuze gegadigden.

    Liever een goede voorselectie dan onnutte spamberichten op het forum!

    Gmail zou geen probleem moeten zijn.

     

    Google bied GMAIL oplossingen aan aan bedrijven, ook bij google snappen ze wat euries en dollars zijn. Email adressen uitsluiten omdat het live, yahoo, aol of Gmail is. is wat te makkelijk er zijn domains waar ik grotere bedenkingen bij heb.

     

    Nog even terugkomen op gmail, wanneer je een link terug stuurt naar de persoon die wil gaan psoten op het forum dan moet deze bewust op de link klikken om het account te activeren. mail ROBO's kunnen dat in de regel niet.

     

    oja, ben ik een google adept, yep helemaal. Maar ik kijk natuurlijk ook wel wat veilig is en wat te verantwoorden is. Gmail is 1 van de opties waarvan ik denk dat die veilig genoeg is

    Dit is inderdaad heel jammer, ook wij hebben maar een paar van tuitje gedaan, en altijd veel plezier aan beleefd..

     

    Worden deze nog ter adoptie aangeboden?

     

    DAn zijn het toch geen tuitjes meer :crybaby: Ik denk dat er wel weer nieuwe creaties gaan komen maar het is zoiets als NU EVEN NIET...... het wordt vanzelf wel weer cup a soup tijd

    Bij velen van ons is een "echte Tuitje" een begrip geworden. Een inventief en origineel verstopte cache waar vaak heel veel werk in is gestopt. Heel erg triest om te lezen dat sommigen in hun scoringsdrang hier blijkbaar zo respectloos mee omgaan! Maar juist deze caches hebben ook velen laten ook zien hoe het ook kan, en zou moeten, in plaats van een fantasieloze micro op een weinig inspirerende plek. Daarom is het des te meer zonde dat deze mooie caches het archief in gaan.

    Tuitje, in ieder geval bedankt voor het plezier dat je ons hebt bezorgd met je mooie creaties en hopelijk maak je in de toekomst toch nog weer van die mooie caches.

    Huh? Ik snap de link even niet tussen het blijkbaar moedwillig vernielen van de caches van Tuitje en 'scoringsdrang'. Blijkbaar is er ook een associatie tussen 'scoringsdrang' en 'respectloos'? Boute uitspraken wat mij betreft. Is het al bewezen dat het een cacher is met scoringsdrang een gewone cacher (zonder scoringsdrang) die gewoon buitengewoon onhandig is of is het gewoon iemand die Tuitje een hak wil zetten?

     

    Ik vind het overigens altijd jammer als er om deze reden caches worden gearchiveerd. Je laat een cache gewoon netjes in de aangetroffen staat achter, altijd!

    cache`s van tuitje

    Helaas zijn de afgelopen weken diverse cache`s van mij verdwenen, beschadigd,of in het water gegooit of met geweld geprobeert te openen of onderdelen van multy`s beschadigd.

    Helaas gebeurt dit dus ook door onze mede cachers.

    In mijn ogen is er dus gèèn respekt voor creaties gemaakt door andere cachers.

    Stel je voor een not fount of een belletje naar de legger voor info.

    Nee kosten wat kost info vergaren ook al maak je iets stuk.

    Vanaf nu 5-1-2009 tot 5-2-2009 zijn mijn cache`s te loggen daarna gaan mijn cache`s naar het argief .

    Dus wil je mijn cache`s nog bezoeken suc6 en veel plezier.

    Weet je wel zeker dat mede cachers dit doen? Als dat zo is kan je in ieder geval hun logjes deleten en hun naam doorgeven voor de zwarte lijst aan Groundspeak. Maar even serieus, het is knap zielig en onvolwassen dat zoiets gebeurd.:angry:

    Om welke GC's gaat het?

    Moet haast wel. de creaties zijn vaak zodanig dat ze a niet opvallen of b op gaan in de omgeving. Ik denk dat met name het slopen (lees onvoorzichtig omgaan) van/met de creaties de bekende druppel is.

     

    Jammer maar helaas.....

    hoi allemaal,

     

    ik heb iets dergelijks geschreven. Ik moet even mijn andere computer morgen starten en kijken of ik de schijf kan benaderen (ernstige problemen op die pc :thumbdown::) )

     

    het geheel is een combinatie van een aantal macro's de werking is zoals voor de oregon en colorado. op basis van de founds in gsak en de tekst die je hebt ingeklopt wordt er een founds.txt gemaakt die uiteindelijk word geüpload naar gc.com in je field notes sectie inclusief datum enz enz

     

    ik zal proberen de macro morgen te plaatsen in dit draadje

    En mag iedereen dan meedoen, of moet je wel een bepaald niveau hebben?

    meedoen is belangrijker dan winnen... oh nee dat zijn andere dingen

     

    je hoeft echt geen bepaalde nivo te hebben, je GPS kunnen vasthouden is meer dan genoeg. zoals al eenpaar keer gezegd het gaat vaak om de deelnemenrs aantalen en de inschrijving. Wij doen het MZLE in de zomer en daar hebben we rond de 300 mensen maximaal. dit is voor de deelnemers leuk en ook voor ons leuk. HEt voordeel voor de niet zo ervaren cachers is dat zij kennis kunnen maken met ervaren cachers en daarmee op pad kunnen gaan, door het klein te houden is het makkelijk om die contacten snel te leggen.

     

    mini-events doen wij ook we eens maar deze zijn spontaan en hebben niet iets met een event te maken dat op gc.com is aangemeld. Zo gaan we op Ridder tocht in Belgie, of gaan we 24 cachen in het buitenland. Meestal is dat een vriendenclub

    door een dwaling van... achja maakt ook niet uit, pobeer ik de NEderlandse Event Kalender bij te houden. 1 maal per week poot ik de nieuwe events (als die er zijn) in Nederland in de agenda, hier onde tref je een aantal opties aan om de agenda op te slaan in jou favo agenda systeem

     

    Om het allemaal wat makkelijker te maken zijn hier de links naar de informatie:

    Installatie kaarten op GPS (60CSx)

    Ik weet zeker dat deze vraag al eens eerder gesteld is, maar ik kan het antwoord niet vinden. Het gaat om het volgende:

    Het rechtstreeks downloaden van in MapSource geselecteerde kaartsets van de PC naar de GPS is een tijdrovende bezigheid.

    Een snellere manier was om het de memory kaart (een micro SD kaart bij mijn 60CSx) uit de GPS te halen en daarop rechtstreeks de kaarten te zetten.

     

    Waar kan ik de link vinden hoe dit precies moet en welk programma ik daarvoor nodig heb?

    Zijn er misschien beperkingen m.b.t. licenties (bijv. alleen downloaden via USB kabel geoorloofd)?

    Nogmaals dank voor deze snelle reacties, ik kom wel op meer forums maar hier gaat het echt super!

     

    De bestelling is inmiddels de deur uit, zonder topokaart. Als het geocaching tot een verslaving gaat leiden zien we wel weer verder :lol1:

     

    Ik heb trouwens afgelopen week een poging gewaagd zonder, maar na een uurtje rond te hebben gedwaald weer naar huis gegaan. Na een half uur toch weer terug en vervolgens weer niks gevonden.....is dit het begin van de verslaving? ;)

     

    Nu maar wachten naast de brievenbus

     

    Helaas ben je niet meer te genezen, het virus heeft je al in zijn greep :) :)
